The article states the sick passengers were believed to be travelling from Liberia. It was a very short article, people do not seem to like reading any more.
Thanks, Shadowne.
That was my point.
We've got an opportunity to mitigate this crisis if we act fast and act wisely. Unfortunately. the current administration is not interested in mitigating this crisis; they're more interesting in making sure it doesn't go to waste.
The father has tested negative for ebola so far - good news. Don't have any information on the testing for the daughter. Still, didn't Kent Brantley test negative at first? The second test came up positive.
Strange, saw a pic from the inside of the plane and law enforcement is just wearing gloves.

Wow, they got those test results back quickly. I wonder why it sometimes takes DAYS to get the results back, and this time we got the results in about an hour?
And like you, I also wondered about the gloves only thing. Oh well.
This is why we can't say it SPREAD until it's confirmed. People throw up for all sorts of reasons, even people traveling from Liberia.
Say it ain't so!
I had to sit next to someone who was sick on a plane once. It wasn't pretty. And I was on the inside by the window so I was trapped, which was even worse!
I wonder how they got the test results back so quickly this time, when we usually have to wait a day or even longer for the results?
Can they really tell, THAT fast, that the person didn't have the virus? Or are they just saying that.
Also, if Brussels is the point of departure for people who left Liberia and are headed here, are people in Belgium concerned? Seems like they should be. I think the man who has Ebola was there for seven hours.
Big question - DID THEY ASK IF YOU'D RECENTLY TRAVELED TO AFRICA? Because if they didn't - I really don't understand why not.
No, they didn't. I was pretty clear that it was a relatively low-grade, "nuisance" type bug, with low fever, that had been stable for over 5 days. So that could be why they didn't bother. It could also be that I'm in Kentucky, where the state motto appears to be "anything worth doing is worth doing as half-assed as possible."
