OKay, I just had to laugh at the argument that Mexico has no experience in treating PTSD... might be true, but that's just because they're old school strong, silent type. Modern America, not so much. Completely caught up in the negatives. It's forgotten that PTG is way more common than PTSD.

PTSD's expansion is kind of troubling, it's turning into the ADHD of contemporary times. Great, I get it in combat. But in popular culture things like adjustment disorder get conflated with PTSD. "Oh, I have PTSD because I got laid off, my wife left me, my latte wasn't made right." No. You don't.

Anyway, not related. Glad it finally worked out.

Good. Now hopefully we don't have to hear about him anymore. I couldn't care less.

Yes, the new American way. If you're a failure in life, blame it on ADHD, a war trauma. bad parenting, bad Chinese food during childhood etc etc etc

Glad he's back. Easy with those guns, dude.

I question the timing of the release and if it's politically motivated with the US Congressional elections coming this Tuesday. What's worse is the poor coverage of this story by most major news networks with the exception of Fox News. My wife and some co-workers who don't watch Fox News never heard about this story until after I mentioned he'd been released. Some in the press have learned that they don't need to spin the story, easier to just not cover the story.

If there has been little media coverage of this story, then what would lead you to believe it's politically motivated? It is on very few radars.

Republican members of congress and congressional candidates have been bringing this up.

I'm not quite sure what the issue is here. This person broke Mexican law by entering that country with loaded weapons.

He supposedly made a wrong turn. Glad he's home, but my big question always was why a person suffering from PTSD was riding around southern California with weapons.

Because it was legal for him to do so. Well, minus the whole driving into Mexico with them.
