That said, good. I think they should get the needle, or chair, or whatever it is now days that is deemed a humane way to dispose of criminals of this caliber.

Although what these girls were totally wrong, they were only 12 years old at the time.
I have trouble calling any 12 YO a thug or saying they should be put to death.
Whether we like it or not, their age was a huge factor.
Really? Twelve-year olds can't be thugs? Clearly, you never read the details of this crime.
Everyone knows, or should, that the death penalty doesn't apply here. But they're looking at 60 years, and I wouldn't lose any sleep if they got it.

At age 12, a person understands the permanence of death, and the concept of right and wrong, and of murder. 12 is old enough to kill, it's old enough to pay the penalty. I'd prefer they be put down, but that would likely cost tax payers more than life in prison, so life in prison sounds better to me on that note.
And another thing--this bleep about concealing minors' identities when accused of crimes of this magnitude has to stop. When I heard the one girl deliver her haughty "I'm incompetent" plea with her face blurred, I wanted to hurl.

Agreed. Only victims should have the option of anonymity.
Regarding that, I think somebody did come up with "serial killer trading cards" --pic of fiend on the front, "details" on the back...
Oh snap!
Instead of "Magic: The Gathering" it could be "Tragic: The Bludgeoning"
