It's amazing how ridiculous the world has become. Instead of being offended by a well wishing person, why can't this person be more evolved and simply appreciate the fact that someone is wishing him well? If a Jewish person wished me a happy Hannukka, I would be flattered and elated to receive his well wishes. If a Chinese person wish me a "Gong Xi Fa Tzai" in February (Lunar New Year), I would bow deeply and thank him for his well wishes too. It's just so stupid that, as we become more PC, we becomes so much less tolerant, compassionate and understanding of our own humanity toward each other. Why are we becoming so angry?
Political correctness is poison. There are few things I hate more. Of course, it was never really intended to make people get along better. It is used by certain people as a way to oppress others.

Bingo!
When I lived in Japan, I expected to be "subjected to" Japanese customs, religious holidays, etc and I did not expect Christmas to be celebrated as the birth of the Messiah. This guy wigging out in NYC over a Merry Christmas greeting is just as crazy as me wigging out because someone in Japan wished me Happy Rei-sai.

I don't see the problem with saying happy holidays, it's safer than thinking everyone else's religion is your own. I mean some people do get offended when you say Merry Christmas and they are Jewish and don't celebrate it (unlike my sister-in-law who celebrates it.)
I can understand that some people hate pc but it does help from creating blunders. This person just went too far with their dislike of the PC world we now need to live in.

I don't think anyone in the right mind is arguing that saying "Happy Holidays" is a problem.
It's amazing how people bring Christianity into this when it's clear that the passenger kicked off was some pressed and bitter atheist.
That guy was probably my cousin, the arch atheist who has a strong need to always be right. I have no issue with atheists--only the ones who try to make me feel stupid.
Happy 22.5. The reason for the season is the earth's 22.5 degree axial tilt. You can confuse and educate them at the same time.
The guy who got thrown off the plane was just a nut case. It doesn't matter why you flip out, if you do it on an airplane they will haul you away in handcuffs.
