Have any of you heard that WM is closing five stores in the southwest U.S. for six months because of plumbing problems? It has been reported that last night, each of these stores made this announcement and laid off up to 500 employees with no notice and said that each employee would be given 60 days' worth of severance pay and benefits, with the opportunity of transferring to another. (In other words, five stores with the exact same problem and the exact same estimate of the time to fix the problem made the announcements at the exact same time.)
To me, this would sound weird all by itself, but then I came across opinions tying these closings to "Jade Helm", an upcoming two-month military exercise to be held July 15 - September 15, 2015 to practice "unconventional warfare" in the southwest.
Now, I know City-Data is not a "conspiracy theory" site, and that the great majority of such theories and alarms have proven to be completely bogus, but I would like to read your thoughts and opinions of the above.

I would think the stores shutting down had faulty plumbing materials coming from the same suppliers, or the plumbing was installed by the same crew who did subpar work.

Why is it real this time when the previous dozens of "FEMA camp" claims over the last couple decades have all been proven lies?
