He bought a bunch of porn movies and rented them to fellow students when he was in college. And according to the article I read, it was a large variety of different types of porn. They may be looking for something based on some fellow student saying he had kiddie porn or something that he was renting out in college.
It's just a shame this hit the media if they find nothing, because as you say, you cannot unring that bell.
The feds can't help if the media shows up and tells the world about the feds searching his home. So as long as they didn't call the media than that is not their problem.
Plus since this guy has a foundation for kids. I would think the people need to know that he is being investigated for kiddie porn. Jmo

Agree. You didn't blame the feds. But i think if he was truly innocent. Instead of jumping in the car and leaving. He should have told the media that this is bs. He should have explained something. This type of search on a innocent person would have caused a innocent person to lose it on national tv. And not running straight for the lawyers car. Jmo.
Now I'm not saying give a interview. But he could have at least made a quick statement of reassuring his innocence right on the spot. Jmo.

The guy mentors kids from home and Taylor had access to that home and the foundation kids. plus jared stayed in touch with Taylor after the bust.
So the feds do need to follow up. Would you want your kids going there if something nefarious may have been going on.

When Chris Christie was US Attorney for the District of NJ, he had his investigators stage "raids" on the homes of several state and local government employees. In one case with which I am familiar, his investigators paraded out of a man's home while holding closed boxes of "evidence".
Only many months later when all charges against that man were dropped, was it revealed that those boxes of "evidence" were...EMPTY. But, when you are in the business of campaigning for office--as Christie was already doing in those days--all that matters are the photo ops that show your investigators gathering evidence for convictions.
The accusations are always printed on page one of the newspaper, but the retractions are usually buried somewhere around page 30, many weeks or months later.
Innocence or guilt doesn't matter at this point. Jared is finished.
