And yet nobody complained about the womens shorts with "Juicy" on the butt
I complained to my sister when I saw her young daughter had on one of those pants. I asked her why would you let your daughter (she was around 11 at the time) wear those type of pants as it only draws attention to her butt. It didn't dawn on her that is what was going on. She threw out those pants. She just wasn't thinking, I guess.
Here is the real problem. It has little to do with the word "Trophy" on the t-shirt or even that a t-shirt is objectifying women.
It is the idea that a woman would buy such a t-shirt at Target. That means she is not only a trophy but that she is the bargain basement trophy, not of some wealthy guy (or these days, wealthy lesbian) but maybe some moderate income guy.
All the women buying those t-shirts at better stores had their minds blown, how dare "those" women who aren't of sufficient income and status claim to be trophies? Come on, who hasn't seen a trophy wife? Who hasn't seen one that wasn't proud to be one and didn't care everyone knew it?
I'm all for empowering women and I consider myself a feminist, most definitely. This shirt doesn't bother me a bit. If you like it and feel the need to have it, buy it. If not, don't.
I'd get one and put an "A" in front of the "trophy"... "ATROPHY."
The same thing about those "juicy" pants. Please, the women who wear them know exactly what is going on or;
they are stupid beyond belief, including the parents who let young girls wear them. Let's err on the side of caution and say the women and parents of young girls aren't complete morons and lets just say they know what is going on. How could you know know? If you're that dumb you don't know then no one can protect you, you don't have the level of sophistication to prevent things from happening to you.
Women know and they know when their hind end looks good to men so they wear pants that say "juicy" on them.
If a woman is a trophy and claims to be such or has a juicy rear end and wants to tell everyone, that is her business.
A woman's body remember? Let her do with it as she wants and all those other women who want to complain ought to mind their own business, as they are so fond of telling everyone else.
This is another one of those blame everyone but the person who did it issues.
Who buys the t-shirt and who puts it on? That is where the concern should be, not because some store is selling what obviously, many women are choosing to wear.
If someone is forcing a woman to wear a t-shirt with the word "Trophy" on it, then by all means, lets have that person arrested and prosecuted. Otherwise, leave it be, it isn't anyone else's business. Target isn't forcing anyone to buy them nor wear them, are they?

Time to be honest about all this.
Put that shirt in Neiman Marcus and you'd have a different story

The "Trophy" shirts in Neiman Marcus are made of silk and have diamond studs to outline the letters in the word. They accept American Express too.
