Of course there have. But the tracks have been covered. Pedophilia doesn't go away. This decrepit family and their reproductive exhibitionism have gotten exactly what they deserve. Bad role models, elevating irrationality to high art. Disgracia!
LOL so we go on INVISIBLE evidence, like hunches? Try that one in a court of law!
People only resort to farfetched hypotheticals when they know they're in the wrong. The Duggars are good people and are getting an unfair deal because of their beliefs. The therapy has worked, and until evidence (not hunches, not hope) comes out to the contrary, you will have to deal with it.
Well if other potential victims were raised as the Duggar children were raised, with seemingly no knowledge of appropriate sexual boundaries, they might not be able think of what happened as sexual abuse. If there are any other victims, they may have suppressed their victimization, don't feel the need to come forward to the press at this time or preparing to file lawsuits. Unless you were with him 27/7 for the last couple of years, you do not have enough information to state emphatically that this form of 'therapy' has stopped any abuse.
In any discussion of Duggar finances, their supporters always maintained that the family (at least the father) had outside sources of income and didn't have to depend on the government or the TV show. Where's that money?
Yes. It was a former police officer, and he was later convicted of pedophilia. I'm sure the "therapy" was excellent.
Yes. Good Job Duggars. WTG.

That's the chance you took with getting paid to let the world watch and judge you.
I also am glad that TLC is taking a hit. Anything called The Learning Channel should have more educational programming.
True. Live and die by the ratings and no tv show lasts forever. TLC is just really a step up from Nickelodeon only trashier.

Unfortunately I have more experience with Bill Gothard and his "institute" than I wish I did. Creepy stuff.
Yeah, great source for therapy.
Sexual Harrassement seems to run through all of this in many aspects.

You have no idea if it worked or not.

You have no idea if there has been a reoccurrence or not. IF someone else hadn't uncovered the initial information - you wouldn't know about that either.

Gosh, that's both sad and true. I hope there is real life without the 24/7 cameras for this crew and that most of them are able to break from this cult.
The fact (not hope, not a 'hunch') that there is no evidence of a reoccurrence leads a reasonable person to believe the therapy was effective.
There was no therapy. Unless you are claiming Michelle Duggar lied to the police in 2006? The vast majority of child molesters do not stop, especially those who receive no real help.

I don't know about that. Those boys have helped build houses, including plumbing, carpentry work, laying tile, etc.

I agree with you that there is no evidence of any further incidents of molestation. Still, I would not leave a child anyplace Josh Duggar might gain access to that child.
That's not what makes them a great family. Their day to day living, success, and support for each other. Also, doing the right thing when something went wrong by reporting it and getting their son therapy. The attacks they are receiving are unwarranted by far.
Aren't Jill and Jessa getting their own show? This will help with the finances and is probably in the best interest of TLCs bottom line.
They did NOT do the right thing.
They did NOT report it (until waaaay after the fact when it was already going to get out to the media)
They did NOT get their son therapy (they sent him to do physical labor with a friend/policeman who was not long after sent to prison for child pornography - you can't make this stuff up!)
The attacks they are receiving ARE warranted.
If anyone else from this family 'gets a show', the same public outcry will be seen and THAT would not be in the best interest of TLC's bottom line.

They have money. They aren't asking for donations.
