The availability of a gun was not going to make a difference. He would have chosen another way. Terrorists have access to guns, yet often use something else to kill people. Doesn't anyone know history? Humans murdered before there were guns. If you say a gun makes it easier, is that the goal, only to change the means?

If complete gun control were effected and lets say it was successful, what would be the next effort to stop murders since murder has never been dependant upon having guns? If all killings involving guns were eliminated, would we then consider it okay to allow the remainder of killings to continue or would there then be yet another effort to control the next means of killing? What then is the goal and what are the means to prevent murder when rocka becomes the means of choice, or sticks or running someone over with a car? That is the insanity of controlling a means of murder, there is always another one to take the place of the one eliminated. Look at Africa, the weapon of choice isn't a gun so what then? Who believes that somehow Americans, the most innovative people on the planet are going to stop killing each other because there are no guns?
