Two police officers involved in the mistaken arrest of James Blake, including one who allegedly tackled the former professional tennis player, will face an administrative trial after the city’s police watchdog substantiated Blake’s excessive force complaint.
Mina Malik, the executive director of the New York City’s Civilian Complaint Review Board, said in a letter sent to Blake on Tuesday that investigators had substantiated complaints he made after his 9 September arrest alleging that Officer James Frascatore used excessive force and Detective Daniel Herzog abused his authority.

Good to hear at least he's getting some justice. So many people don't. And in the past, many would be intimidated to even do so.

Even before Ferguson I was hearing about blacks leaving the city due to harassment and uncontrolled gentrification. I don't know if any of you have been targeted before, but the feeling given is one that your not wanted. With the Police's role in our society think about that.

And they wonder why black people don't want to be Police.

Proof positive for everyone here to see the kind of contempt cops have for citizens.

You mean like a cop telling me to "go shine shoes?"

That's why people don't like the cop posters on these forums. If they're any representation we need to clean house and send some of these people to jail for ruining people's lives and harassing them.

This is exactly why so many don't trust cops and would avoid them at all costs. The "thin blue line" works in retirement too.

That's right. I support cops. There are plenty of cop haters here. They will never admit that they hate cops. I support cops. I support the officer in this case. The facts will come out. I am not going to shy away from that what so ever.

So you are okay with a cop doing that to you while you are standing around?
