NBA Player vs. NYPD: Not Guilty of all charges

It took 90 minutes for a jury to acquit Atlanta Hawks wing Thabo Sefolosha of charges stemming from an altercation with police following the stabbing of then-Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland outside a popular New York City nightclub in the wee hours of a morning this past April.

NYPD is out of control. Using excessive force, they broke Sefolosha leg. Now it is time to sue but $6 million is not adequate. Especially, if the damage to his leg prevents him from regaining basketball form to play at a high level.

"They arrested him," Sefolosha's attorney, Alex Spiro, said in his closing argument. "They broke his leg out of eyeshot or earshot of an unrelated crime scene."

Sefolosha wiped his eyes with a tissue after the verdict was announced. He looked over at the jury and mouthed "Thank you" several times.

When asked by reporters Friday whether he would be suing the city now, Sefolosha said: "I haven't made a decision on that."

I guess the taxpayers have nothing better to do with the money.

Happy to hear those jurors acquitted him.

NYPD is paying out some big bucks due to their over aggressive behaviors.
