Well then, do not ever listen to any of the rap "music" most kids sing along with. Given your sensitivities, your head will explode. Islam is pale in comparison.

This has been slowly coming. When you lose discipline in your school systems,your children barely learning,bullying rampant, teachers in many schools not teaching but get the headlines with this crap then you know were in trouble.
Those who live in this country are the ones who have destroyed it and sat back and voted the same losers in time after time no matter how corrupt they were . Putting strangleholds on the businesses that employed tens of thousands to where they closed them down and gave work to those in other countrys. Our leaders sitting back twittling their thumbs and making merry while drugs took over the country,while people tunneled, wandered,climbed illegally into our country and were allowed to stay putting major stress on our economy and resources. For decades these same people were ignored and doors closed in their faces. How many here were upset that people in other nations were treated horribly by those who ruled them. They suffered for decades but no help came their way. Some nations we never even looked their direction watching hundreds of thousands die,somalia,rawanda,nigeria. Why? Probably they didnt have any resources our nation needed so screw them. Cant make any money on the stockmarket with them. Every nation has somehow been judged by someone more powerful and do believe if we dont get leaders with that determination to take control back from those who should have never had it to begin with, then were more than in serious trouble.

And 7th graders will be influenced much more by their peers than one of their teachers. Most if not all of them probable just dismissed that lesson as another weird thing by an off the wall teacher.
And I can speak with some authority since 7th grade was the happiest 3 years of my life.
I don't know what it is with western culture embracing Islam and what it stands for. Women are extremely marginalized no matter if it's extreme or moderate Islam. The things the Quran teaches and the fact that the prophet married a 6 year old and "took" her when she was 9 is absolutely wrong! It's not like this prophet is like Jesus or Buddah - peace loving and all. Why should we be accepting of this ideology and people who believe in this type of ideology? Just go into the Islam forum on city data! One of the questions posted to muslims was "do you want to see everyone convert to islam?" and many of the answers were veiled threats including "yes, for their own sake."
I understand wanting to teach "multiculturalism" but why are schools that are funded by public money teaching students about Islam and having them sing songs about Islam? Two issues here... separation of church and state is being violated and the second issue is that Islam is a vile religion! Do we really want to see a dystopian future where women go around dressed up like tents where you can only see their eyes while they are abused by men? It's the year 2015 for Pete's sake! Why on earth embrace a religion that is taking us back 1000 years? Haven't we learned anything from ancient history? Rome fell to the barbarians and Europe plunged into an era of religious darkness for the next 1200 years! Are we going the same route? Why is humanity so.... stupid?
What happened to the separation of church and state? Shouldn't this pertain to all religions? Praying to Allah (albeit through a fight song) is exactly what Atheists have been complaining about for the past 30 years that Christians do. Where's the outrage now?

Liberals hate USA, Israel, and Christianity. Muslims also hate USA, Israel, and Christianity.
My (white) son was at a predominantly black school (okay there were probably 4 white kids). They learned an African song that included hand motions. One motion was the act of pushing up one's sleeves to demonstrate there are no weapons up one's sleeve. It was a bit disturbing.
Yeah, inappropriate on so many levels.
