That sheriff sounds like an inbred knuckle-dragger. I feel embarrassed for the people who live in that county.

So saying Merry Christmas and saluting our troops is inflammatory, but using terms like inbred knuckle-dragger is acceptable....gotcha Just curious, what part of that sign do you find unacceptable?

Except you made all that up. "We say Merry Christmas and if you don't like it get out" is most definitely inflammatory. He's implying that only Christians are welcome in his fiefdom, and he's implying that free speech and alternative viewpoints are not welcome.

The sheriff is an ignorant idiot. He sounds like a right wing nut. Any sign with a "get out" message to others is absurd and inflammatory, whether the message is liberal or conservative.

It doesn't say "get out"....it says, if this offends you, leave

Exactly. That's why the sign is idiotic, and why the sheriff looks like a fool.

Giving a heads up, telling people that may be new to the area, this is how we do things here, if you have an issue with it, leave....maybe be happier in another part of town or county

Well, geezum crow!

We libruls in New Jersey say Merry Christmas, too! I think they say it in New York, also, and Pennsylvania!

In fact, I would bet that people in every state say Merry Christmas!

It seems, then, that if someone does not say Merry Christmas, they can just leave the country!

Not 'get out' of the country, just 'leave' the country. There seems to be some confusion over the meanings. They seem pretty similar, to me.

Is that what Deputy Dawg is tryin' to get across?

The sign wasn't worded if you don't say Merry Christmas, then leave....the sign is worded if it offends you, leave....reading comprehension is a wonderful thing
