I honestly dont know what they were thinking. Maybe its the only thing they could think of. I dont think it will hold up in court but they already spent time in jail. Might see a lawsuit out of this.

If you expect freedom of expression and tolerance from others you must also show tolerance and allow other to express themselves freely.
As a black male, I think its a bit harsh, as jail isnt the answer for everything, but what might be needed to put a end to this stupid trend.
If you dont want to be targeted by the police, dont go out in public showing your underwear, its pretty simple. People will complain, it targets young black men and its racist or they shouldnt be told how to dress, when the simple solution is to just wear your pants above the waist the way the were intended.
No one wants to see some dudes underwear or imprint when you go to the grocery store or fast food place. If a woman were to sag her pants and walking around showing her panties, she would be arrested more than likely. You purposely have to go out of your way to sag your pants, so its not like people dont know what they are doing when they do it.
It's not just black kids.. Although they are probably the majority of "plumber style" fashion addicts.

Did you all know that being incarcerated for 72 hours or more in jail, juvie, or prison is a disqualifier for donating blood or plasma? Why? Because you are more likely to have been exposed to HIV or Hepatitis in those conditions. Willingly or not. Those of you that think this is appropriate punishment for bad fashion need to seriously re-examine your values.

If they dropped the pants, no one would care because it looks like a bathing suit. Boxer shorts are not revealing. It just looks stupid. So do comb overs, ear hair, and black socks with shorts but no one is putting old farts in Florida away for bad fashion.
