Really?? The Family has a picture with Santa. Was the baby crying, yelling, kicking or screaming?

The Family should be very grateful that their picture is as good as it is. And that their Child was still here to have a picture with Santa.

In this case it is all about parents. The kid doesnt know what the hell is going on. Not to be insensitive because I think anyone would have have sympathy for what these parents are going through but this seems like another example of parents with a special needs kid trying to bulldoze over people in an attempt to have the world kiss their backsides because their life is difficult.

Nobody owes you anything in this life, no matter how difficult things might be. You have parents that act out and make things more about their own needs than anything to do with their child.

Maybe??? They took this child off a breathing apparatus right in front of this guy and handed the baby to him just like that. You think a guy that is likely a retiree or someone doing the Santa gig to earn some extra cash at $10-12 an hour is properly equipped to deal with every single unusual medical condition? Especially for a free photo?

He did his best to provide a nice photo with a child that he said was non responsive and got him back to his parents quickly. According to him the parents were satisfied with the photo and did not ask for a retake which was an option. Only after they got home did they contact the media.

Why don't you apply for the position seeing you have all the empathy? What don't you get not everyone is comfortable dealing with a child with such challenges! Maybe if the parents had spoken with the staff and coordinated the picture they would have worked with them. Standing in line then disconnecting a child from various support machinery is enough to throw anyone...

After reading the Santa's post about this incident, I think the mom in this family is just someone who wants attention.

The fact that she went to a TV station to complain rather than to the management makes me very skeptical of her motivations.

Wow, what an overreaction! Geez, so the old man (Santa) stood up. Maybe he felt more comfortable handling the baby in that way due to the baby having tubes coming out of his throat? Goodness I wish that mother would be grateful and get over herself!

What a bunch of malarkey, heck, if they felt so strongly about Santa photo poses, then they should have hired their own personal Santa or had a family member dress up as one.

Why didn't the parents take a minute in advance to explain the situation to the Santa?

Do we really need a world where someone gets fired every time someone else gets offended?
