Regardless of whether this incident happened as the teenager claims, I think many are missing the point.
One person earlier was correct in that this is about basic customer service and respect.
It is not right for an employee to make comments that disrespect, mock, or insult a customer. It's not right if a customer is called fat, if a customer's race/ethnicity/sex is mocked, so on and so forth.
"This fat woman wants six cheeseburgers." Damn, that's funny.
We like to call a spade, a spade here in England........ My wife used to be on the chubby side years ago. She was called a fat cow by some kid in a shop. My wife said, "I can lose weight....... you'll always be ugly."
I heard that the UK socialized medicine system turns away obese people as well as smokers. So maybe obesity isn't viewed the same way as in the US where we have been brainwashed to be warm-and-fuzzy and where fat shaming is probably a hate crime.
Wow, just wait until they add drinkers to that list. They'll treat about 5 people a year. On the flip side it will save a lot of money. lol Health Care Costs of Alcohol
Just when you thought medicine was suppose to help people. I guess addiction isn't a health issue anymore, it's now a crime.

That isn't true. What is true is that the government and NHS is trying to tackle obesity, and the problems health wise of smoking. But, I have been visiting our local hospital regularly recently with my wife. Plenty of fat folks getting treated........
Also, many smokers in wheelchairs, and hospital gowns, sat dragging on cigarettes outside the doors of the ER!!
