When McD had 99 cent McNugget specials I would always order 10. I've ordered 20 reg Mcburgers before too. Never got laughed at. But then again I wasn't that fat back then.
Agreed. This is much ado about nothing. The story is probably true. The staff member called her fat. And? The girl needs to learn that people will ridicule her many times in life and the best thing to do is ignore them or come up with a witty retort and go on with her life. But oh, no. Instead, she has to witch and moan, cry to the press, and have the story go viral all over the internet. Poor her. We've all been made fun of. It hurts, but you ignore it and go on with life. And BTW, she is morbidly obese, so the woman's comment was accurate anyway. And seeing the weight of the mom, it comes from poor eating habits, such as too many trips to McDonalds

Do they even call them Quarter Pounders in England? Or the proverbial "Royale with Cheese" (Pulp Fiction)...or a 114 Grammers? 1/10th of a Stone Burgers with Cheese?
Different take on this. As those who have read some of my posts know, I'm a thin guy who likes big women. And, I don't think it was at all appropriate for the staff at McDonald's to make fun of a customer like this. First of all, it's rude. Second of all, they're idiots for biting the hand that feeds them. A$$##$%$#. If you give a store your business, you deserve to be treated with respect, not ridicule.
Yes, the woman and her mother are both big. That doesn't mean you should go around making fun of people because of their appearance.
I hope this store goes out of business - though I know that won't happen.
