This girl was one of the Uber shooting victims and was minutes from having her organs harvested when she finally responded to a question with a thumbs up.

Makes you wonder...

Hospitals are scary places. Doctors are making life and death decisions every minute. The odds are, many of those decisions are questionable.

I can't imagine the horror of that girl and family. I'm thrilled for them that she gets another chance at life.

The body is an amazing thing. Without jumping to conclusions, I can only imagine the doctors made the best decision they could with the facts before them. This girl still has a rough road ahead. I wish her, her family, and the doctors the best.

Yeah; why I'm not a donor. They're just a little TOO anxious to get their hands on that stuff!

HOW was she "pronounced brain dead" when, obviously, she wasn't, and how many donors were "brain alive" but didn't happen to have anyone holding their hands moments before the harvest?

Sure hope there's an investigation into this ongoing at this moment.

The family had a press conference about this. She was never declared brain dead, that was an incorrect report.
They were prepping her for organ donation because her heart stopped.

Her heart stopped? And started again??? That would make her alive and not dead. (shudder)

Well that's one lucky young girl. She wouldn't be with us if she hadn't given her mom's hand a squeeze. I think she heard what was going on and realized if she was going to save her own life, she'd better wake up enough to do something.
