Overweight is the new normal. There will be a pushback but inshape and normal weight will soon be "exotic". We can't go on eating this American diet without everyone being overweight .
Yes, because Dr. Oz is the most credible doctor in the country....gag hack cough cough....tried saying it, but I started choking on those words.
Who cares what Cheryl Tiegs has to say? She's a has been! She sounds jealous of the young hotties.
And I hate to burst her bubble, but there are plenty of women who are skinny who have hips wider than 36". There are bones in there and we all don't have a choice on our genetics. Some ladies have real hips. Some ladies have hips like a 10 year old boy.
It's a has-been, old, wrinkled model trying to be relevant.
She needs to sit down and hush.
You are a woman, are you not?
I completely disagree with what Cheryl Tiegs said. I get so sick of women judging other women because they've been brainwashed by mainstream, cookie-cutter notions of "beauty." American women, in particular, are well-trained, indeed. You are a good example.

I'm worried that people are so fed up with trying to live healthy lives in our society that we're accepting of some marketing person's appeal to the lowest common denominator. Ashley Graham is pretty, but let's face, she's overweight. That shouldn't be accepted as "normal" or "healthy." I refuse to play that game and I won't encourage my children to eat what they want or stay in and play video games instead of going outside all in the spirit of "everyone should be accepted."
Don't get me wrong, I won't teach my kids to be rude or call people names, but we can't change the definition of healthy just because it's harder to achieve in our society.

If that means I am standing up for someone else because she is talking down about someone else, then so be it.
I was shocked at Tiegs' appearance! The years have not been friendly to her. I always thought she was very beautiful, but beauty is not just skin deep apparently.
The SI model looked great and I'm glad we are promoting a more realistic and healthier attitude about body styles. Twiggy wasn't healthy looking.
Anyone who thinks Ashley isn't healthy from looking at a picture of her, well...there is no way to tell that from a photo!
To be anexoric or real heavy are not healthy choices but IMO Cheryl Tiegs has some nerve to talk . Ashley is a beautiful woman and Cheryl let's face it has not aged well . Her fame is over who cares what she thinks. Go away this is not your lime light anymore . Nothing but jealousy .
If that means I am standing up for someone else because she is talking down about someone else, then so be it.
Way to rationalize YOUR cattiness.
At what age, exactly, does a woman begin to "need to sit down and hush" because she's no longer "relevant"? 40? 50? 55? Here, on CD, for example, popular opinion says that magic number is 35.
You've been well-indoctrinated, haven't you?

Time has not been kind to Tiegs, she looks horrible. Hard to take her comments seriously when she used to pose in ads for Virginia Slims cigarettes.
