I'm not crazy about tattoos in the first place but I can't imagine doing something like this. This is permanent and may not represent the real you in any way. Crazy.

I wouldn't get a tattoo, period.
My first thought on seeing a person with a tattoo is that we are on different wavelengths, so any social interaction between us has zero chance of developing.

I don't want a tattoo, but this is a top level artist and the customers already know him and know that they like his work. It's not like getting a surprise tattoo at the county fair--- or like drunken sailors on leave do and wake up the next morning with a tattoo that they picked out while drunk off their feet.
