Why do you have so many clocks? And why would you care about ones like the coffee maker? I have never set mine for example, do not care about it. Turned off the one for the microwave.

So I really am the only person in the States who prefers Standard time. I should find a country that stays on standard all year and move there!

I wish they'd just pick one time and keep it.

At least in my neighborhood, the kids (and their parents) all waited until dark to go out. Jack-o-lanterns look much better after dark anyway.

I agree. It's silly to change the time for 4 months and change it right back again. No matter how you slice it, there is less daylight in the winter than the summer. For every person who would rather adjust the clock so that it stays light a little later, there's one who would rather leave it alone so it gets light earlier. Can't make everyone happy.

I liked the idea of splitting the difference and putting the clocks 1/2 hour forward permanently.

When I was working 12 hour night shifts, I used to LOVE Spring and moving forward 1 hour. Only had to work 11 hours, and got paid for 12. Though in Fall it sucks because you'd have to work 13 hours, and you got paid for 13. But it was harder to do the extra hour...

They should just go to DST and stay there year around.

I love when it gets dark early in the winter. Does anybody really know what time it is?

That has nothing to do with Daylight Saving Time. That has to do with Winter.

I was thinking about that. What I find very interesting is that nothing I have which has the time and date needs any adjusting anymore. It will all do it itself. Who would have guessed it back in the days when a raido shack early desktop was something of awe and amazement.
