I guess there are still unsolved recent murders out there, but it this day and age of an electronic trail, it seems like it's only a matter of time before the perpetrator is caught.
When you think of all the girls (and people in general) that go missing out there each year, and nothing is ever found...this is 10s of 1000s of people!!!, so I think its the total opposite to what you suggested, they have a pretty good chance of getting away with it!

I think what makes most of these cases so tough, the missing person does not really know the person who did them wrong ( in other words, there is no connection to them in anyway), thats not good for an investigation, its why serial crimes are so difficult to solve, there is no motive or connection to the victims.

What does this have to do with her friends? I don’t think her killer was a friend.

I never took the saying as literally meaning "your friends", but in a general way the people you hang out with and are around/associate with, which doesn't have to mean your friends. You're thinking too literal.

I guess you can rephrase it and say, "Show me who you are around and associate with, and I'll tell you who you are."

Like boxus mentioned, being in the escort/sugar baby business or industry isn't probably one of the safest things, did she deserve to die, of course not.

The police said Ajayi had pictures of Lueck on his phone, were they pictures he got online of her, were they old pictures or pictures she sent to him or were they pictures from the night he picked her up and killed her? I'm not saying he was her "friend", but I wonder if this was the 1st time they had met?

Oh, I agree. She wasn’t smart. Maybe she thought it wasn’t a big deal though because “everyone is doing it” these days.

She probably left her guard down, so to say, did it for awhile, I assume liked it/enjoyed it (?), you get in a routine or complacent and think, I've haven't had any real issues previously with meeting these older men, who want to shower me with money and gifts, in exchange for whatever. Then you get the quiet, smart guy, computer geek, who everybody says great things about, and turns out he could be a psychopath murderer.

Him being in IT, he never once thought about all of the electric footprint out there that the police could use to try and track what happened to her? Like I mentioned early, with cell phone pings, IP addresses, social media, surveillance cameras almost everywhere from street corners to people's front doors, Uber/Lyft records, etc., there is so much out there that can and will be used to track people down.

You are right but I think slowly with technology and innovation while not today these types of disappearances are going to be easier to solve.

Just about everyone uses cell phones now and so many homes and businesses have video cameras. Unless you are in rural areas law enforcement can pretty much track you. The unfortunate part is it takes days and weeks sometimes.

In the old days your fingerprints were what ties you to the crimes, now your electronic presence on your cell or passing by the thousands of neighborhood cameras, traffic cameras and business cameras, along with electronic footprints from receipts and computer searches.

Is that true? Are more college students prostituting themselves currently than in the past?

I guess maybe. With the ability to connect online instead of walking the streets.

You never know, many could keep it "on the down low" with few knowing what they really do or don't do. It would be interesting to hear how many, if any, of her sorority sisters knew about it?

Young women please.....don't meet up with internet contacts alone! Meet them in a public place or bring a friend along. With so many incidences like this one it's just ridiculous not to consider your safety first...

You are right about the increased surv today, so that is strange there are still SO many people that go missing and are never found and their cases go cold. we only hear about the handful where they do solve or get close to solve, this still leaves 10s of 1000s where they just vanish without a trace! Just look at the missing flyers in post offices, its HUGE!
