I've always liked that song. Started humming it immediately.
Meh, I was thinking more along the lines of Kate Bush.

*screech* "Bang goes anothah kanger on the bonnet of the van-a..."

Why? What kind of subhuman does this? I just don't understand someone deliberately hurting or killing a living breathing creature for pleasure.
That’s serial killer behavior. I ay screw jail time. As punishment I would put him in a cage with 20 male kangas during mating season.

It is an abhorrent act and I hope he be strongly dealt with. I doubt whether our convict ancestors can be blamed; overall we are a law abiding country. Unfortunately a lot of the country towns are facing large problems with ice addiction. Who knows the reason, perhaps it will be clearer when he is in court.

Good News for you :

Quote:
The maximum penalty for an individual convicted of cruelty to animals is $266,900 or 3 years imprisonment under the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001. There are also offenses for severe animal cruelty under the Criminal Code Act 1899 which have a maximum penalty of 7 years imprisonment.
I hope they give him at least 5 years. If it was up to me I would give him the same form of death that he gave those defenseless kangaroos.

I guess Kangaroos are cute so they have an elevated status in the animal kingdom? What if he killed 20 frogs, snakes or squirrels?

Do kangaroos feel human emotions?

Its not just because he killed them. Australia already had sanctioned Kangaroo hunting. It’s thst he mowed them down, slaughtered moms with Joeys in their pockets, left orphans, left the animals suffering and dying all over peoples lawns. This was a suburban neighborhood. How would you feel when your kids go out for the bus and start screaming because there are three bloody kangaroos writhing in pain on the front lawn???

No one would bat an eye if 20 frogs, spiders, ants were ran over.

Tasmania, to be exact. Originally it was called Van Dieman's Land, until 1856. The song Black Velvet Band makes reference to it.

Hmmmm, the comparisons going on reminds me of what I once read of a Greenland seal hunter, probably in the 70s, and what he said about seals.

"To you, he is something cute and cuddly; to us, he is like cattle.".

The kids did see animals in physical pain and I’m sure some didn’t die immediately - not sure what would be a fair punishment. I wonder how much “suffering” the average meat eater causes?
