How long until the ACLU sues, and the litigation ends up in the 9th Circuit where judges will back the ACLU?

Default Hospitalization Rates

Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York is currently reporting a 13% hospitalization rate in New York, he himself stating how crucial that reported case/hospitalization ratio is.

It would be very helpful if that ratio were reported on a regular basis just as data on the number of cases, number of deaths and fatality rate.

In my view, the fatality rate is mostly meaningless because we don't know the real number of unreported cases.

However, we do know, as a matter of public record, the number of reported cases, how many go to hospital, and how many deaths.

So hospitalization rates should be regularly reported.

Not price gouging though. USDA-Ames reported that there is a low egg inventory this year. That report came out before the panic.

And that is the CFR number but that is just a datapoint in time valid for a given set of numbers at that time.
The CFR is constantly changing.

I follow the global CFR..initally at 3.4%. Went as high as 4.3% and has come back down to 4.1% this morning.

I guess it's to try to impress customers that the food is more fresh then it is. What a stupid inefficient, unsanitary way of selling food. Why can't they just sell cartons of it on the shelves?
It’s not just deli counters. Half of the “fresh” foods served at restaurants are purchased as bulk packages from wholesalers. The reason is sanitation and to a lesser extent consistency. If you remember what happened to Chipotle, they had local yokels in the stores making everything fresh from scratch. Their marketing bragged about it. That ended when these practices started killing customers due to lax sanitation and cross contamination. Chipotle had to turn its operation upside down and switch over to the commissary model used by the competitors it mocked.

That's nuts! Do you have local farms in your area that sell eggs? So many people have backyard chickens today.

That's a little silly. Are they going to be targeting only certain groups to prevent their travel? If not there's no basis for such a ridiculous statement.

Yes what? That she could have had it earlier or about the antibodies test? My son's Immunologist said he believes they were seeing cases in Denver as early as September.

So you still think it's better to have 18% protection from the flu, even if it means increasing your risk from COVID by 36%? Okeee ...

I suspect the Chinese are already doing prevalence studies in Wuhan.

Unless they give it to someone who does not fare as well.

US does not have that many flu deaths. The worst season for which estimates are available is 2017-2018 with 61,000.

Current year estimate is 23,000 to 59,000.

DDT kills insects, not microbes. It controls the microbes, including viruses, by killing the vectors that spread them, mosquitoes, for example.
Thanks for the DDT answer........
