This is me.

I used to be a baseball fan, many decades ago. Then there was a players strike, then an umpire strike, or whatever. Basically they messed with the seasons, I didn't watch, and I never went back to watching.

In April we cut the cord on cable tv. We were paying so much $$ for content we never watched. I'm not missing it.

They fit my face perfectly. They are 100% waterproof. I tested it myself. No droplets will get through, zero. That means I'm protected. It's highly unlikely your masks can pass a water test. Which means you are not protected.

These are the exact same type of masks that are worn by billions of people in Asia. Those countries all have COVID-19 death rates ranging from 0 to 6. In comparison the US with most people wearing homemade masks, the death rate is 286. Death rate of 0 to 6 vs 286. My choice is 0 to 6.

Those masks are made in China, not putting my trust in them.

Woman with Lupus has been taking hydroxychloroquine for 19 years. She tested positive for the Coronavirus. Researchers should do a COVID-19 antibody test sample of Lupus patients. We need real numbers to determine effectiveness.

Kim said even though she took precautions when leaving the house for the grocery store, she thought she would be safe because of what President Donald Trump has said about the drug.

Trump has repeatedly advocated hydroxychloroquine for possible treatment or prevention of COVID-19. On Monday, he revealed he had been taking the drug “for about a week and a half.”

“A lot of good things have come out about the hydroxy. A lot of good things have come out. You’d be surprised at how many people are taking it, especially the front-line workers — before you catch it,” Trump said at the White House. “I happen to be taking it. I happen to be taking it. … I’m taking it — hydroxychloroquine — right now.”

A case series of one person really does not prove anything. You would have to know what other medications she took. Could any be immunosuppressants?

You also need to know how many people taking hydroxychloroquine have not caught the virus. That is why properly controlled trials are needed.

That's why I said a antibody test samples would be needed. We already know the antibody results for NYC and other cities. If 20% of the general population has antibodies and 5% of 5000 Lupus patients on hydroxychloroquine have no antibodies, it would show effective use of as preventative measure.

Except the prevalence of antibodies varies by location. Such a study would need to be done prospectively in a location where those taking the drug and a comparison group not taking it would have similar risk of exposure.

Tell me about it! I'm sick of wasted food that the cats refuse to eat.

That’s why it would be easy to do one in nyc.
