Jeez, all of "them" are starting to show up. Wrong thread to spew your old people jokes on. Some of you probably post just to get a thread shut down even when we were all being "adult's" and not throwing stupid replies around.

If you can't contribute like a mature adult why even bother posting on this thread?

And it begins...?

The woman driver who stuck her finger into one of the monkey cages is now sick, sparking fears of infected monkeys.

The CDC did warn the public not to go anywhere near those escaped monkeys.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ion-fears.html

Also, there's this from the article.... "One of the cynomolgus macaques, which are also known as crab-eating or long-tailed macaques, was found in a tree, and three shots were later heard, WNEP reported."

So, I was right. They did shoot at least one monkey out of a tree. That's what they called "humanely euthanized".

Liars!

According to Michele Fallon's Facebook page (she's the one who came in contact with the monkeys), she was told that if any of the monkey's die or get sick she would be contacted. Then she was told to watch for fever, cough, vomiting, diarrhea and fatigue.

Could be nothing but precautions. I think the CDC would quarantine Fallon if the public's health was at risk.

But isn't it odd that she was given a precise list of symptoms to watch for?

Lots and lots of things could cause any of those symptoms - including COVID for instance.

If there was no concern, the CDC wouldn't have given her a list of precise symptoms to look for in the first place.

https://hbg100.com/2022/01/24/witnes...symptoms/amp/?

Whatever virus the CDC was developing, it has now spread to humans.

Quote:
... Danville woman is now experiencing symptoms, believed to be related to her close encounter with wild monkeys, when the trailer they were riding in collided with a dump truck and unloaded their cages all over Route 54, close to I-80, on Friday afternoon. (The monkeys were destined for an unidentified Centers for Disease Control lab, in the Midwest.)

... a CDC representative who appeared on the scene, advised her to watch for symptoms and to alert her primary care doctor. She also said the CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health would be in touch

Of course there's some concern - I didn't say there shouldn't be any concern for her health.
