Morning ladies

They are still testing so no school, but my Vet called and asked if I would take her back to the wholesale nursery because she needs 30 more Viburnum
So she is picking me up in the vet bus at 9:30 and we will head over and load it up
I need a bale of pinestraw for the watermelon plants & a bag of potting soil so I can remove the excess cucumber plants & a couple watermelon plants that I have found homes for and put them in pots

So my exercise today will be yardwork
It is headed to 81 so it will be my last chance to get things done before the 91 degrees day arrive tomorrow

I also have to stop by the kitchen design place and pick up the printouts of the design they made

Thats my "exciting " day what will yours be like

Good morning.

Did not walk or do weights this morning because, somehow too much wine got into my system last night. Not sure how that happened.

The guys are taking us to lunch today. It'll be a nice change of pace from the AYCE Chinese buffet.

CYL.

Good morning!!

Karla-Good deal on the kitchen. Yeah...you can use plywood or an old door for a temporary counter. It isn't so bad. I would have a heck of a time picking counters for myself. I like shiny but I don't like the grain in granite...but it does have the shine that I like Then again you can't go by me....I also hate jewelry and gemstones

Pattie-Enjoy lunch.

Rainy day here. My stomach is a little better. Will be getting on the treadmill soon.

Today I did a cardio-bootcamp workout from the one and only Denise Austin--wow I almost said Richards! It is a hard one, and since i am laptopless until I figure out what to do about the router, I have to find ones to do in the computer room or else do the one I have recorded.

Have a good day all.

Hi gals! I'm up early so I thought I would peek my head in.

Karla you can also use a card table as a temporary area, I know not the best of situations but when one is doing a re-do ya gotta do what works! You are def going to have to take pictures of this

We were offline up here for two days, something happened to various neighbors too, Bob came into the development yesterday after work and saw cable trucks all over. Funny how that works, we had cable but not internet (and how just how does wireless internet go down???).

Last day of work this week, Doug has not gotten back to me on the other thing so looks like my extra hours will not be this week. I'm not going to worry about it though because the gals will bug Doug from here to eternity to get some help

Yesterday was Adm. Assist. Day and we had lunch catered in for us, real nice. Then we also got a card and I'm thinking hummmmm, well inside my card was $50.00! Wow I can't wait to see what we get at Christmas!

My diet is working, if I can stay away from the sweets. I did real well up until yesterday and we had these delicious looking cookies with our lunch. Well one was a cranberry, raisin, oatmeal cookie and I thought.........hummmm not fatening healthy! Lol but just that little bit of sugar sent me looking for the candy here last night, so back to the drawing board again today.

Gotta get. Have a good one all!

Morning ladies

lol I just got up

Sandy how nice that they had lunch and a bonus for you all
I am with you on the sugar It really makes a difference
If I stay away not only do I not crave it but my tummy is flatter
Research I have read says sugar causes belly fat

Pattie sounds like you had fun with the guys where did you go for lunch

Lisa the granite I am considering has a subtle pattern but now I am not sure if I want to run it on the breakfast bar (hubby is not thrilled with making a figured wood bar) Because it might be too much pattern

ok I am making myself crazy with this kitchen redo
When my Vet stopped by to pick me up to go plant shopping she came in to look at the samples

She had some really great ideas one of which is to do the new mixed look
Wood cabinets on the bottom and the painted wood ones on top
When I look at the catalogs I am really drawn to the painted ones
She also said she has seen kitchens in the fancy magazines where they don't do a backsplash the counter ends right at the wall
Another suggestion that looks cool is because I have 10' ceilings instead of putting crown molding on the top of the cabinets have soffets built that go form the ceiling to the top of the cabinet
There was a picture in the magazine and it looks very elegant

Now I am so confused

Plant shopping was a blast I don't think I have laughed that much in awhile
We have been working on her backyard project fo 2 years and she had a video on her phone of the work so far
We were in the vet bus showing the nursery guy the video(he was also in the vet bus) his brother, who also works there, came over and asked if we needed any help.
Mary said "we're good we have a man in here already.
When he saw the video he asked "what are you watching" without missing a beat she said "porn"
rofl now the 2 of us are in our 50's so the look on his face sent us both falling off the seats laughing

I found the coolest plant texas sage
here is a picture
PlantFiles: Picture #9 of Texas Sage, Texas Ranger, Cenizo, Barometer Bush, Silverleaf, Purple Sage 'Bertstar Dwarf' (Leucophyllum frutescens)

I had to buy 2 of them

Mary took me to lunch after where we did even more laughing

What..stay away from sugar

Sandy-The lunch sounds really nice.

Karla-OK...step back, lol. Once you get bombarded with choices sometimes you just need to step back and take a break from it. Oh..I wish your hubby was doing the bar top. He does such beautiful work.

I haven't seen the soffits like you are talking about. I hate having to clean on top of the cabinets What color cabinets do you like for the painted ones?

MY DH wants to redo my kitchen and I told him to leave it alone. We can redo it when it falls apart.

Wow, that sage is beautiful! Not at all what I expected-of course, my experience with sage is the stuff I use in cooking sometimes.

Did a rare nighttime workout (I usually go early mornings) because I was dog tired last night and didn't want to squeeze in a lifting session before work.

Anyway, yesterday was a a back workout. I did:

Pullups, 4 sets. I was able to do 12 reps on the first set, then 10 reps next two, and finally 8 on the last one. I am trying to cut back on the rest period between sets.

One arm dumbbell rows, 4 sets per arm. I started with the 75s for the first two sets of ten reps each, then moved up to the 80s and managed to do ten reps each comfortably.

Lat Pulldowns, 4 sets. First three sets I did 180 for 10 reps, then moved up to 195 for the last one, doing 8 reps.

Bent over barbell row, 4 sets. Did 135 for ten reps each set. I need to get my form down a little bit better.

Seated Row, 4X10. Did 4 sets at 195 lbs for 10 reps. Good way to end the night.
