Fire ants are really nasty. They build up little hills and pity the poor person who steps into one. This is something new for NC. Ten years ago, I had never heard of a fire ant. Thank goodness my children never had to play around them. We bought a whole bag of poisoning yesterday. The problem is that when you get rid of them in one spot, they just move over to another location. I don't want poison all over my yard. My son had a wreck on his bike in Charleston and got about 70 bites, before he got them off him. Some people have died, but I don't seem to be too allergic to them. If a bee stings me on the foot, my entire leg will swell up. I always wear shoes outside. Dad had 24 hives of bees and I used to get stung all the time. I have had about 8 fire ant bites and they just itch for a little while. Two of them were yesterday. They appear on you and you have no idea where they came from. I was just walking in the yard. Of course, I did dig into a couple of hills to see if they were active. I used my new rake. I may have raked the dirt toward me with them on it. I made the mistake of wearing sandals.

Lunch for me is breaded and flavored tilapia; Mr. VA is having mesquite chicken.
I baked both of them in the oven in different dishes for the same amount of time.
We are having a salad of lettuce, tomato, English cucumber. red sweet pepper, celery.
Mr. VA has the idea that certain foods go together and mesquite chicken goes with a salad. He cuts it up in little pieces and puts it on top of his salad. He is so cute sometimes!
1 T. Olive Garden dressing
Coffee and milk
I will have a fruit or not according to the number of points I am using. Plenty of vitamin C in that salad with the red sweet pepper. I try to keep it to six points per meal.

Judi, good that you're feeling better!

Jeannie, it's great that you slept better. Hope the whole house selling thing won't get on your nerves too much. You know that such stress is not healthy.

It's been a great Sat. for me. Summer finally returned, yippie! It's HOT outside and the sun is shining. I'm glad it's not humid, too.

Today my aunt and uncle had their 25th anniversary and we were invited to this restaurant for lunch. It was very nice. We prepared a fishing game where they had to fish for their gift in a cardboard box where I painted fishes on. They had a pole with a magnet and I prepared paper fishes which they could catch with the pole.
Their gift was a romantic train ride into the mountains where they are to watch a rock musical (they like that kinda music) and a night in a romantic hotel.

They really liked their gift and my uncle held two short speeches which were really cute. And as I'm really close to the water I wept right from the first word on.

In the afternoon DH, my cousin and her bf and me, we took our bikes and went to the nearby lake. DS stayed at my parents. So we went swimming for two hours.

Now we're back and today's ordering pizza. I guess I won't have one b/c I'm still fed up from lunch. It was very delicious. Several kinds of meat, veggies and side dishes and I had really really much to eat and was the last one to finish.

My cousin and her bf will come over in a sec and we'll watch a DVD.

So have a great Sat!

Okay-95% chop meat grilled on w/w buns, 1 slice Amer. cheese, ketchup; salad; cukes in low fat sour cream. I feel like I cheated.
