After just reading the posts from yesterday evening I thought it was time that I start the today's thread. Hopefully the time till Friday passes as fast as possible so that our dear Jeannie can sleep better again.
Slice of bread with sausage (8:50)
Small cup of milk with some cinnamon cereal (9:15)
Hi NCN-we're thinking of the Smithfield area. Love Myrtle-son went to college there and we went down often. My real dream would be a condo on the ocean but hubby doesn't like that idea.
Good morning, Jeannie, Judi, NCN, Izzy, Diana, and Autumn.
Dinner last night was actually good (wife cooked for a change! Nice break for me). Italian bread crumb coated pork chops (thin.. almost cutlets!), cheese macaroni (I actually didn't have any, I'm so proud of myself!!) and a broccoli/cauliflower mix (boiled).
This morning, two mini-sausage biscuits, 1/2 Coke
I must be the freak in the group. Being from northern California, growing up surfing, lifeguarding during the summer, joining the Navy for almost 21 years, then retiring in the desert!! But not only that, I am not against living near the water... but my dream is a mountain retreat (maybe a log cabin - nice one, not miniature) in a small community.
Well.. this is my Friday as I leave for Schlitterbahn tomorrow. I will try to get on later, but if I don't, all of you please take care of yourselves and those you love. Also, I hope things that are currently in the forefront (health issues, Jeannie's house) all work out. I'll be back Sunday evening, so see you all Monday morning if not before.
Good morning, Jeannie, Judi, Steve, Izzy, Diana, and Autumngal.
Diana, you eat the best food. Love your food choices. Some of my ancestors were German, so I grew up eating good food like that. We lived on a small 100 acre farm.
Lacy, so you are going to be the new Ava Gardner. She was from Smithfield, if I remember correctly. Her first cousin's husband was my English teacher in the eighth grade. Her first cousin was also an English teacher in our high school. I wasn't lucky enough to get her, but they said she made English literature come alive.
I'm trying some new things today. I haven't killed anyone yet, so I must be all right!
