Why? It makes no difference.
In the absence of other information, many of us readers will scan through an author's other posts to try to figure out where they're coming from...

There's always Balch Springs... Just kidding -- +1 for Highland Park.

Agree with others. Highland Park. Then West Plano or Southlake, Westlake if you are willing to go far, and West Flower Mound if you are interested in being on/near a lake

I think the areas of FM south of Wichita Trail include some very pretty places. IIRC, they feed into FMHS which is a top 10 Metroplex high school (and of course leads the metroplex among non-magnet publics in %age of NMSF). Then again, we may be getting a bit too granular here.

HP is the best fit. Preston Hollow with privates is also a good option.

For the classic old-money neighborhoods...Park Cities.

For rolling hills similar to Napa Valley/NoCal...Westlake.

Both are so different but SO beautiful in their own right.

Bo both Westlake Academy/HPISD schools are nationally regarded.

Mean home price in Westlake is $1,295,194 and HH income is $240,800.
Mean home price in HP is $932,128 and HH income is $211,862.
*source: city data

Forbes has declared Westlake as the town with the largest HH income in the nation several times.

Um, that makes no sense. You list four criteria and then say that none of them matter. Then you list another criterion after saying that the only thing that matters is the quality of the schools.

With all due respect, there is no friggin' way I'd equate the "rolling hills" of Westlake to being in any way similar to Napa Valley/NoCal. And as my posts earlier indicate, I don't have any grudge against Westlake.

I'd also note that Westlake is TINY compared to PC, much less to West Plano or Southlake. If we're talking about kids at school, I believe Westlake Academy's entire enrollment K-12 is less than HPHS's graduating senior class. That may or may not be a factor for someone to consider.

Yeah, I found that to be an odd comparison too
