Both schools are great. Denton Creek and Wilson have a wonderful Immersion program, dedicated teachers and you can't go wrong in Coppell.

op,
Also check Coppell isd website for the proposed rezoning. Changes are very minimal. Some parents expressed concerns over sending their kids to new school (Lee elementary) during open meeting. But board clarified that, they follow same processes (teacher training, curriculum etc.,) across the schools. My kid goes to Austin elem. I am little disappointed compared to his previous school (Las colinas elem).

Both Wilson Elementary and Denton Creek Elementary have dual-immersion classes. Half native English speakers learning spanish and half native spanish speakers learning English. It's a great program!

As incoming 3rd graders, my boys are too old to begin immersion education. Are the general ed classes as good at the immersion schools? That's the big issue with Silverlake and Timberline in GCISD. I welcome the diversity both ethnic and socioeconomic- but studies show that dual language ed is not effective if you try to start past Kinder or and is actually detrimental if continued past 5th grade (math scores begin suffering- and I'm pretty obsessed with my children's math education).

While Coppell schools have a great reputation, there are some other things to be aware of in the area, in particular nearby fracking wells!
There's a huge development of Cypress Waters (technically in city of Dallas property, but within Coppell ISD and basically in southern part of Coppell), with plans for 6 fracking wells there! The city of Dallas already approved these wells, and unfortunately Coppell cannot control that. Also, there's plans for a number of fracking wells in Lewisville, right on the other side of 121, just north of Coppell. There's a number of people putting up their expensive, $700K + homes on the market in Coppell that are unfortunately too close for comfort for me from some of these fracking well sites.
For some links to the proposed Lewisville fracking wells, look here:

And some info about fracking in Cypress Waters (within Coppell ISD and very close to Coppell West and new proposed Coppell schools) look here:
In addition to apartments, Cypress Waters could also be home to gas drilling | Dallas Morning News
