If you are willing to look that far out and want a small town feel you might check out Argyle and Celina. Growth is heading toward Prosper and Celina but it should miss Argyle and the town is doing a lot to keep itself small. Argyle is the best academically and athletically out of the ones listed, but it is more expensive than most of these towns/schools, except of Prosper.
