Not sure about Allen, but in Lewisville the school tax rate dropped significantly (about .25) this year. That could account for the lowered rate in Allen.

Sorry I was wrong, I used the tax figures for 2006... the 2007 just came out 2 weeks ago and I didn't update my database.
