Oh gawd, another list that makes no sense. Copper Canyon? McLendon Chisolm? Who did they poll?

Click on the link for all the details. Their criterion makes sense. There are some useful tools to find neighborhoods to match your needs. Pretty neat.

I'm still puzzled how Colleyville constantly gets high rankings.

Colleyville is lacking quality city planning, an attractive thoroughfare, a sense of place, upscale retail, and isn't even considered a top-three school district.

All of this and yet Colleyville gets ranked higher than both University Park and Southlake.

Cool I'm in #1, not surprised.

I am surprised Frisco isn't on the list.

I am also surprised McKinney, who got wasn't it Fast Money's #1 Place to Live?, not even on this list lol

I really like Copper Canyon--it's really stunning if you like country living--but I'm surprised to see it based on the criteria. Not walkable and not really close to a lot...and zoned to Denton schools

Most of those are actually municipalities, not neighborhoods. I thought it would be something interesting...

Best neighborhood to get a McMansion that's crammed onto a tiny lot? Best neighborhood where the only interaction you'll have with your neighbors is nodding to them as you drive past each other in your SUV?

When you look at the community involvement and sense of belonging that happens in the established neighborhoods closer to the core and then see the DMN called the "best neighborhood" West Plano... man. They're so clueless as to what's actually going on in the city they're supposed to be reporting on.
