We had our home painted and the contractors moved around the fridge to paint the wall behind. Now I noticed there is water pooling around the fridge for past 2 days. I kept cleaning it up but still it leaks slightly. Not sure whats going on. Should I call them back to fix it? Any tips?

Roll your fridge away from the wall. Make sure the icemaker water lines are not loosened in the back of the fridge and also at the spout connectors.

Your fridge should roll straight out. You should not have to actually lift it.

One other thing to consider is your fridge may sit on legs in the front (so that it can be level), you may need to use a wrench to ratchet down the casters so it can roll. If your model has this feature you will need to remove the front lower trim, which usually just pulls straight off to access the casters.

I have a kitchenaid and I ran into problems the first time I tried to pull it out for that reason.

Also keep in mind the "leak" may be condensation in the drip pan. The painters may have dislodged or tilted the pan. In other words, maybe not a plumbing problem.

There should be a shut-off valve along the ice-maker/water line leading away from the back of the fridge. If you can get to that, turn it off for a day or two to see if that changes anything. Ours is accessible in a nearby pantry closet.

I moved the fridge to the front. No dripping/leak behind or around the pipe lines. But I see water on the floor in the front on either side of the bottom/freezer compartment. I cleaned it up for now. Will see if it drips again
