This was me + WA... What I did was...moved to Dallas. So yes, many people just don't get to live where they were born & raised. Seems like DFW is on a trend to be the same way in the future. Also, buying a starter home is not what most kids leaving the nest do.

Keep in mind end of the school year is a desirable time to move, so home prices will go up higher through May at least.

DON'T DO IT. This area has all the natural beauty of Nebraska, the rents of California, the property taxes of New Jersey, the job market of Mississippi unless you have like 10 years of experience or know someone, and the weather of Arizona. There are MUCH BETTER places with everything that you're looking for.
