What are the top 7 neighborhoods in Plano? I have a $500k budget, and could go a little higher if needed.

What are the neighborhoods to avoid?

As far as I know, any neighborhood in you budget should be good and not ones to avoid.

Just remember that the school district zones do not follow city limits, so if Plano schools are important, make sure that the house is zoned to Plano schools.

Whichever 7 are closest to your job.

None.

How about finally answer the key questions rather than sitting here and shooting around in the dark:

1. Where is the commute destination (if any?)
2. School Ages (if any)?
3. House/Lot size you're looking for?
4. Interests or amenities you'd like local?

Start there, or just keep asking random questions and confusing yourself more.

I like the area surrounding Russell Creek Park near Skaggs elementary and Rice Middle.

LOL, why did you pick 7. What's wrong with the top 6 or 8 ?
The average person will not know pricing and neignborhoods well enough to even answer this question.

You're better off asking is there an area of Plano to avoid. And in your price range, there really is not.
