Over time, it seems that Plano Sr. has regressed. A dad I know is sending his kid to Jasper because he heard that Clark isn't safe. The plan is to go to Plano Sr. for 11th and 12th but that may change. The older brother turned out fine and attends UTD (top quarter in HS with 1380 SAT). A teacher I know showed a picture of the thermostat at Plano Sr. at 80.1 degrees. She said the system breaks down.

I would suspect that going to Frisco and competing in the rat race will prepare the kid for college. However, you have to count on UT or other publics to recognize that Centennial, etc. are more competitive.

I wouldn't say they have regressed, but I would say the demographics have 'changed', in that Plano Senior is filled with a higher number of middle class whites who simply care less about expanded educational opportunities (vis a vis other things) of NMSF and other academic achievement markers because they are destined to high-enough achievement and employment. Doesn't mean they are less smart than Asians in some general (or IQ sense) nor do IQ comparisons play because there are plenty of students in Plano Sr that are as high in family income or higher than your median Asian in Frisco. It's just that the playing field for whites is still very elevated, so they don't have to play the game as hard. The other indicators haven't regressed - ie: the number going to UT, A&M, etc, and the lower income demographics are a higher percentage at Plano East than Senior. It's just that the number of top achievers isn't as high. It's basically becoming Allen High (without the sports to lean on).

Interesting 8 is the age for IQ fixing
I think empathy ability happens before then
You can see children in first grade and pretty easily separate the ones who have little to no empathy from those who do have/show it
