DFW started as a transportation station in 1840s. Its growth was dramatically boosted after American Airlines headquartered here. The addition of this new terminal to AA hopefully will further support the development of this metroplex.

I wonder why they took the "straightline" approach with F. One thing with E and F that bums me out is not being able to walk between them and to the other terminals.

And F doesn't have the typical parking structure?

As I was told in another thread...Renderings are make-believe...This presentation is probably just a generically detailed "Mock" Idea to show the capacity of what's to come.

No worries...The questions asked in this thread will probably be answered when the recalculated...detailed..."FINAL Rendition" version opens its doors in real life.

The "BUSIEST Airport in the World" is what they're shooting for.

Still, that airport is a testament to good long-range planning and design. It isn't perfect, but it's a good example of past foresight paying big future dividends.
Most definitely. I've heard/read before that the metroplex wouldn't be nearly as big today if DFW didn't exist.

The airport employs over 228K.

I don't think that is the number of employees at the airport (and it is certainly not the number employed by the airport. 228,000 appears to be the number of jobs "created" by the airport (per economic impact studies).

Yes, that's just a technicality though. In practice, it's worth over 228K jobs.
