Maybe I should mark my location as "West Of West Plano". That's got to be even better, right?

May be, but I trump you with westernmost. I thought about "westiest"; maybe I'll try that on for size sometime.

Since I live in what is often called Old East Dallas may I suggest New Westernmost Plano.

Kind of like that; almost has a Yankee flavor to it. That would get me extra bonus snob points.

I'm with you. All this is saying is that as a newer style 'burb that also happens to be a city, it's really just representing successful economic segregation in a sprawling metro like DFW. And possibly a very low rate of single people (drives down "household" income average)...

Anyway, unlike traditional cities like San Francisco, Plano doesn't need to have a variety of different classes living within it -- all the blue collar workers that it needs can come from one of the other (also economically segregated) burbs of DFW. Places like San Fran, Honolulu or even San Jose will have higher median home prices, but they also have many more people renting who live and work in the city by necessity... hence the household income difference.

I don't really mean to single out Plano, though. This is how things are in Houston, with places like the Woodlands, and I'm sure the same kinds of burbs could be found in newer booming sunbelt metros like Atlanta and Phoenix.

No joke. I have 2 people tell me they live in "far west Plano" - not Plano, not "West Plano" but "far West Plano". Their faces were brimming with pride.

As a practical matter, I wonder why we do not also think in terms of North vs South Plano. Try driving from South (say Plano Pkwy) to North (Hedgcoxe) - it takes 20 minutes in rush hour.
