Hmmm...the memory of it exists but not the name. I grew up right behind Fed Mart and used to walk that parking lot so I should remember but sigh...I'm old now! Hope someone on here can remind us.

Is it the same one that was there in the 80s? There was a Kroger and an Oshmans there. My dad lived on Waldorf, and when I would visit, I would go buy punk rock records there!!!

Sorry, just found this thread YEARS later, lol! I remember that McDonalds. They tore down a smaller one to build the 2 story. My dad lived over on Waldorf in the early-late 80s. I haven't been back in probably 30 years, but I heard that neighborhood went to hell. Sad.

Sorry to be 6 years late, but it was Hit Records! The fellow who owned it is from Boston and old pals w Aerosmith, if I recall correctly. He got many of my late teenaged paychecks. He had an awesome variety of rock genres stocked, the Beatles to Devo to the Clash to Hendrix to the Pretenders to Frank Zappa, and so on. I left Dallas in 1991 but I hope Mr Hit Records is still thriving even if not in that same building! Great store
