I don't know about the far reaches of the metro, but the only wild cats Dallas has are bobcats. I'm cool with that because I don't really care to stumble upon a panther in the park.

The Indians considered coyotes to be great tricksters. I have to agree.

I used to sneak up on them and scare the daylights out of them when I was in my early teens. After a while, one of them did the same thing to me. LOL. They are very curious and like to hide and watch people.

Any animal that can survive in the wild eating anything and everything like they do gets my admiration.

I've seen small groups of coyotes running across the golf course here in Castle Hills.

My parents had a family of foxes living under their deck in Arlington last year - apparently they are not too timid:

Amazing fox pics. I'd love to be able to look under my porch and see a family of foxes.

We are in North Texas, and coyotes have been all over here recently. I never see an outdoor cat and small dogs have to be watched in the backyard. We live on the creek, and last week a coyote was howling at noonish at our fence. See pics!
