Anything "slathered" is just fine by me.

What the **** are you blabbering about? "animal style = big Mac with 1000 island" ? Make some sense man. Big macs have thousand island, yes. In n out burgers do too. The dressing aka spread alone does not make it animal style. All of in n outs burgers except the flying Dutchman come with the dressing standard. Animal style adds a few other things which I mentioned earlier. You don't have to like it but dude, get your facts straight and/or formulate a coherent post.

In my animal style, there was maybe a teaspoon of tiny, minced grilled onions. Added a tiny bit to the taste but I was disappointed. Not enough to make much of a difference. If I ever go back, no grilled onions and no animal style for me. And definitely no well done fries. Yuck.

And taste is still subjective. The Maple and Motor guy is very outspoken about his hatred of in n out burger. But in his mind, they're the competition/ evil chain/ things he is against. Which is fine. I love a good, local burger as much as the next guy, too.

I say for this "challenge" to be truly fair, you need a group of maybe 8 people - preferably out of towners with no hometown hero mentality- who have never had either in n out or whataburger. Get them out here and get them the food as fresh as it can be. That is the only fair way to do it.
