LOL. I thought you'd enjoy that, Bob. I remember the good ole days, in my youth, when I lived in Denver and wore nothing warmer than a sweater throughout the coldest winters. Nowadays, although I like cold weather much more than hot weather, I do get chilly when the temps drop into the low 40s.
I took Queenie out to the schoolyard the night before last. The temp had already dropped down to 54 but there was a strong NW wind so it felt colder. Queenie was too embarrassed to wear the sheepskin coat I got for her so she ran nekkid in the field while I shivered in a jacket.
Sadly, there were a lot of house fires here the last two nights caused by people using their fireplaces and also using space heaters when it got down to 51 degrees.
Laundry is done and back in moter home, dry goods are packed, bed is made and ready for next trip. Stuff is all put away at home, house is half clean after being gone for 3 tips in a row, last one being 5 and a half days! I just love fall!!!!!!
So many post to go back and read and catch up on. hope everyone is well !!!!
Dear friends, I'm writing to give you a reminder to take a moment to photocopy everything that's in your wallets. That way if it's lost or stolen, it will be easy to know who to call, & it will also give you proof for getting replacements.
I used to do this years ago, but I had gotten out of the habit. And now I regret that, because I lost my wallet this past weekend. Happily, I do not keep my ID and bank card in my wallet, & we don't have credit cards. But I lost a picture of my daughter, and that upsets me. Also, even though there was not much in there, I don't remember everything. It was mostly loyalty grocery cards, like that. I've called all the stores, and no one has turned in the wallet. Not a big surprise, since the world has much fewer honest people than before.
I'm really bummed out over this.
But I thought at least someone else could benefit from my problem, so I thought I'd write this reminder.
O, Starr, I'm so sorry. Did you have your phone number in your wallet? I pray that you did and that someone will find it and will call you.
Thanks for the advice. I carry too much stuff in my wallet: credit cards, drivers license, etc. I'm going to remove all the credit cards and put a note that says "Reward if Found. Call (---)--------."
N o, I never thought about putting my phone number and promised a reward in my wallet. I've been wishing that I had. I've been trying all day to remember what's in that wallet, & I don't think I had anything in there that would identify me. We only have cell phones, so we're not in the phonebook.
Thanks for your kind thoughts though, my friend.
Craigslist? What a great idea. I never would have thought of that in a million years. The last time I was at that site was before the Craigslist murders. *shudder*
How do I go about doing that? Is it as simple as Craigs list.com / Lost and Found? Thank you for the great suggestion, flamingo.
Finished watching breaking bad last week.
Maybe walking dead will be next.
And 50 would be a cold front here! :-)
We love The Walking Dead. Can't wait to see it every week.
