A couple of great sites to comparison shop schools and school districts are: Schooldigger.com -- Search and compare elementary, middle, and high schools. and SchoolMatters - Home (http://www.schoolmatters.com/ - broken link)

What does that have to do with anything!

I am a white man, married to a white woman, and we have white kids. And that said, i wouldn't want to send my kids to an all white school, like some of the ones I've seen in MD. Diversity is an important factor in my research of schools, and hence a determining factor in the decision of where i will settle my family home wise in the near future.

It is apparent that your work location is substantially north of the canal ... and if you prefer to be in the Appoquinimink district you are concentrating on the right geographic area (of communities). There may be some homes available in Clairborne ... to partially answer your querry about the community - Clairborne ... I know that there are quite a few professionals (U of D professors, managers etc.) living in the community. Age group (of parents) varies from married w/ a child to parents w/teenagers. If you have specific questions, ask away ... generalized impressions do not convey much by way of substance.
At present there are a few homes available in Clairborne and one in Amberwood that backs up to RT. 896
