Hi, everyone.

I'm looking for recommendations for a realtor familiar with Dover and the surrounding areas (Camden, Wyoming, etc.). I'd appreciate if you could DM me your realtor experience, whether it be good or bad. I'd rather not have to throw a dart at the phone book and hope to hit it lucky.

Thanks, in advance.
JD

Unfortunately, Recommending a Realtor is not allowed on this forum. Here's the info from the terms of service //www.city-data.com/forumtos.html

"Real Estate Agents and other businesses will not advertise their services nor solicit business in their posts. Create a free business profile by going to //www.city-data.com/profiles/add and fill out your forum profile instead. Do not include links to your websites, MLS listings, etc. in your posts. Do not try to push the envelope by attempting to hide your intentions. Do not solicit business by DMs. Show your knowledge about the area and help people and you will get leads naturally. Real estate agents should join the usergroup for them here: //www.city-data.com/forum/delaw...editusergroups. It will set your user title and add an icon next to your name, so you will get free advertising with your posts."

and, "Recommendations are allowed for posters that have at least 10 posts. One cannot recommend himself/herself. The only area where recommendations are not permitted is real estate, however general responses, such as "we have many helpful and knowledgeable real estate agents on this forum - just DM them" are fine."

The OP is correctly NOT asking for Realtor info on the forum, but I just wanted to remind any new posters that are Realtors of the TOS for this site.

As long as we are on this subject, is it permissible for posters to recommend a web source for MLS? The tricky thing about this is that the free ones are connected to realty agencies. I've once or twice given such a source for the MLS, while emphasising that I wasn't making a recommendation as to any realtor or real estate agency. There is one very user-friendly website for the MLS in New Castle Co. that I've recommended (they have complete listings for NCCo, but only partial listings for Kent and Sussex). It's a real gem, because most of the MLS linked to agencies isn't very user-friendly. For me personally, I like to use the particular site for browsing listings, though my own actual realtor is with a different agency entirely.

Excellent question and I think I know the correct answer but I'm going to run it by the site administrators. Generally, sites that are not Realtor specific are allowed, like Zillow.

Do you mean this one? //www.city-data.com/profiles/add or do you mean the page from the FAQ? //www.city-data.com/forum/faq/9...city-data.html
