Makes you wonder what other revenue options there'll be for the police when we turn to self-driving cars, which won't go over the speed limit.
Chicago brought in $1 billion in traffic fine revenue last year, and when someone asked the Police Chief what will happen when self-driving cars become more prominent?
Answer (jokingly?): we'll just have to go after bicyclists and pedestrians!
Yup! Raise that jaywalking fine to $1,000, for one!
I was all but struck stupid by knowing of someone who got fined $150 for spitting on the sidewalk downtown, yes, right here in Las Vegas!
