Brian_M,

It seems to me that you have too much rage over normal activities that occur in driving in bad weather, all over the country with all types of drivers. The problem that needs to be fixed is your attitude toward the situation--or you will find yourself in a worse raged induced incident, or at the least put stress on your life that is not necessary.

I grew up near Buffalo, with 32 years in Colorado, and I am considered an excellent driver and it shows by my record of almost 50 years of driving. Now that I am a senior I avoid situations where I will be an annoyance and a danger to myself or others. In addition, I go out of my way and pull out of the way, to avoid causing tension to other drivers who drive too fast and lack the patience and tolerations of problems in everyday life. These same type of drivers do not show respect for others who may have more difficulties in driving--that is their problem and I just try to get out of their way.

So, with the past few days of bad weather, I did not drive. Of course, it is easy to do, as I do not work. Tomorrow, I will leave my house, and drive, SLOWLY AND CAUTIOUSLY on my weekly errands. I suggest, you stay out of my way for your own mental health. You will know who I am; I will be the geezer under my fedora hat, driving the old Buick--with the turn signal always on!

LC, thanks for a good closing argument, i.e., everyone just chill and cooperate out there.

We seem to get "this thread" every year. Like Clockwork. Like IRS forms.

For those who want to rant and cuss up a storm, there's a Rants and Raves section on every city page of Craigslist, under Personals. Fun reading for those seeking a moment's escape.
