Hi - I am hoping someone can give me info. about the area around West Colfax Ave & Teller St. (close to Wadsworth & South of 20th & North of Colfax) since I'm out of state & looking at this place w/o the advantage of seeing the area before hand. Is this an okay area? It would be close to work & it's affordable so it seems good thus far. But, I don't know. Anyways, if someone could LMK what this area is like I'd appreciate the info.. Thank you

It's very close to the famous Casa Bonita restaurant that I LOVED as a kid, complete with Cliff Divers and horrible food.

Other than that... well, it's really not that bad. Colfax itself is quite run down in that area (think used car dealers and crumbling strip malls), but as you know there's tons of apartments around your area. In fact, It's almost entirely rental housing anywhere nearby, and not really swanky rentals at that. So, it's missing that pride-of-ownership thing, but I wouldn't call it unsafe by any means.

Great - Thanks so much for info.. Sounds about like an area I lived before except the nearby Mex. restaurant had wonderful food I'll only be in CO for 4 months & since I'm terrified of snow I don't care if it's "swanky" as long as I don't have to drive or worry about being killed.
