Quite honestly, he won't even find that in the suburbs. You get more for your money out there, but going rate is still north of $700/month. He might get lucky if he finds an outdated studio in North Aurora or along Poet's Row in Cap Hill.

Maybe people will start realizing that it ain't cheap to live here. And the job market sucks, too!

When I looked at rentals last year, $800 for a 1bdr 1 bath in Parker is low end and Parker is generally cheaper than Centennial. If you want to live in the ghetto maybe. You might find something close in North Aurora but I wouldn't live there. If it were me I would stay put.

If she's going to transfer here, she needs to be getting a pretty large raise. Housing costs are 31% higher here than in Chattanooga.

PayScale - Cost of Living in Denver, Colorado

$575 a month doesn't even do Poet's Row (people will actually pay a lot to say they live in the Walt Whitman). There may be a few things available between 600.00-700.00, but they won't be pretty, and certainly not in the Centennial area. If you want to be down there, take that 575 a month and double it.
